Salt Lake County |
Youthbuild Salt LakeYouthBuild has brought me a sense of responsibility and confidence in myself.
By the end of the ten months, I plan to have my GED, knowledge in construction,
a scholarship to go to college and most of all to be able to say I’ve
accomplished something positive on my own.
Crystal C If you are interested in working in construction, Youthbuild Salt Lake may help you get started. You will be part of a team of adults ages 18-21 who will build or renovate houses for homeless or low-income families.
In addition to getting paid training and hands on experience in construction, you will spend time in the classroom sharpening your English, reading, and math skills in order to get a GED or high school diploma.
Most importantly, you will make new friends, have fun, work hard, and get a deep sense of satisfaction from being able to make a positive difference in your community and in the lives of others.
Please call the Youth EmployAbility Services (YES) program office at 801 468-0115, or e-mail us to learn more about this exciting opportunity.
